What is Pinterest?

Pinterest is a global image sharing and social media app designed to enable saving and discovery of “ideas” or “pins” on “pin boards”. Pins tend to be images, animated GIFs, and videos.

Our new Pinterest integration allows customers to to easily connect their Pinterest account to OrderMetrics via API. You can sync as many Pinterest profiles to your OrderMetrics account as you need. Through this integration, OrderMetrics will routinely pull advertising performance metrics and expenses from Pinterest. This data will be used in combination with the other data in the account to highlight the impact of advertising on the customer’s business.

Examples of the metrics OrderMetrics calculates using Pinterest data:

  • Ad spend per order

  • Return on ad spend (ROAS)

  • Ad conversion rate

  • Lifetime value (LTV)

  • Customer acquisition cost (CAC)

  • Net value per customer

Merchants can also track the historical performance of your Pinterest campaigns and compare them to other advertising channels.

How can you access the Pinterest Integration?

  1. Sign into OrderMetrics

  2. From the OrderMetrics dashboard, click Data in the left-hand navigation

  3. On the Manage Integrations page, scroll down to Pinterest and click “connect”

  4. On the Pinterest login screen, enter your account credentials

  5. Once logged in, Pinterest will ask for permission to sync data with OrderMetrics; click “give access”

  6. On the next screen, select which Pinterest profiles you would like to connect to OrderMetrics, then click “continue”

  7. All done! The data will fully sync in a few minutes.
